Kreative Generations is a community based youth organization
registered under the Department of Gender and Social Development on 2nd September 2011 and operates within Dagoretti district, Nairobi. Their Vision is informed, economically and socially empowered youth in the informal settlements, while their Mission is to contribute to the socio-economic empowerment of marginalized children and youth in Kenya.
The Team
The group comprises of 15 members with 50:50 representations of males and females aged 18-34 years. The group utilizes theatre (plays and drama), poetry, dance, music to advance the voices of the oppressed.
Additionally, Kreative trains unemployed or marginalized youth in urban farming and greenhouse technology for vegetable production.
Management
The group is governed by a chairperson, a secretary and treasurer who are elected successively after a period of two years.
